U.S. Foodservice representatives will greet contestants and guests at the airport and direct them to the buses for transportation to the hotel. A U.S. Foodservice check-in table will be at the Hotel Valencia.
4 – 5 p.m.
All contestants take a written test and review the driving courses at the Hotel Valencia.
4 – 5 p.m.
All guests attend the state of the company address by Stuart Schuette, chief operating officer, and Dave Esler, chief human resources officer, at the Hotel Valencia.
6 – 8 p.m.
All contestants and guests attend a welcome reception at the Empire Theater, which is across the street from the Hotel Valencia.
6:30 a.m.
Buses for contestants and guests leave from the hotel to go to the Safety Championship at the Freeman Coliseum. The LAST bus will leave at 7:30 a.m.
(No other transportation will be available to the Safety Championship.)
7:15 a.m.
Breakfast is served at the Freeman Coliseum.
8 a.m.
The Safety Championship BEGINS!!! Contestants, please wear your uniform.
Noon
The Safety Championship is completed and buses return contestants and guests to the Hotel Valencia.
2 – 4 p.m.
The Safety Championship awards banquet takes place at the Empire Theater across the street from the Hotel Valencia. Contestants, please wear your rodeo shirt.
5:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Buses make trips to the airport leaving the Hotel Valencia approximately every 35 minutes. The airport is approximately 15 minutes from the Hotel Valencia. Please plan to arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight departs.
