US Foods National Safety Championship
US Foods drivers and warehouse employees competed at the US Foods National Safety Championship in San Antonio, August 26 – 27, 2011.
US Foods contestants demonstrated their knowledge of safety and operating procedures in a written examination before getting behind the wheel on a specially-designed course at San Antonio’s Freeman Coliseum. Competitors identified equipment defects and safety hazards that are purposely planted on their vehicles to test their knowledge of vehicle readiness. Contestants’ driving skills are tested during several simulated driving scenarios. Winners received plaques and cash prizes.
